Feeling somber and numb. Today, all over town, most folks talk turned to the murder of Trayvon Martin and the shameful injustice done in Florida. I feel sickened by the things people do and the lack of actual fairness to be found in our flawed system. I despise the out of control media circus that corrupts facts and feeds the public their skewed version of events. The outrageousness of it all makes me furious. My thoughts are with Trayvon's family, sending them peace and strength.
I keep thinking back to last week, my teenage son and his friends huddled around at dusk, dark hoodies on, hoods up, laughing, outside his friends house when I picked him up.
right there with you, sister. let's be twice as loving, twice as compassionate, twice as caring. this is a blight, but not the end. far from it.
