sunny/windy/rainy...

In typical Northwest fashion, the weather could not commit to just one way of being today. We were wet to work on outside projects and just when we'd get down to it, the wind would start churning, and then the darkness falls and then rain and then we're hurrying to pack up and head back inside only to have the sun peek out again just as we close the door behind up. repeat and repeat over and over... that was today. It happens a lot round here...
We've been enjoying our walks around the neighborhood. My little gal is so good about pointing out all the flowers and she knows most of their names. Cherry Blossoms are her favorite. There was a lot of lifting up to smell the cherry blossom trees...
They really are stunning. We have two very small white ones in the backyard but they don't appear to be doing much yet. There are plenty of huge pink ones all over town.
So many of our outdoor pots cracked this tear due to all the cold snaps, and so many indoor plants were in need of upsizing so we got a start on transferring and tending those babies. I need to get a  few more pots and finish that. As well as weed and ready some more areas for planting... Now we've entered the season of endless weeding. I need to read up on alternate planting methods...
This back corner is a mess. overgrown with blackberry brambles and weird purple puff weed flowers. There are wild strawberries & lavender under there somewhere...  I'm just not sure what I want to try and do with this area. Maybe just throw down more poppy seeds and call it good? We're building a few more raised beds this weekend and those will be for vegetables and herbs.
Now, I am determined to finish season five of friday night lights. It's pretty weak and not as good as the first 4 seasons (hmm, maybe cuz tim riggins is hardly in season 5??) but I just have to get it done with. wish me luck. Hope your monday was lovely. xo m
