17 years ago, I was 17 and you were gone...

We're starting to pull out of the flu-ness around here. Everyone still has aching tummies (a little) and I have a smashing headache, sore throat, achy-ness... I have been moaning and groaning and marveling at how often we've gotten sick this year and then I realized that we've all had antibiotics this year (something we never usually do) and possibly that could be contributing to wonky immune systems... hmmm.
This morning I realized (well listened to kexp and figured out why the songs were all grunge bands and then they played "jesus doesn't want me for a sunbeam"...)that today is the anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death. A dark day around old Seattle for sure...

At the time, I had a Hole cassette stuck in my car's tape deck and while I never listened to the radio, I wasn't in the mood to hear "pretty on the inside" for the 8 millionth time so I clicked on the radio... bummer. I really loved Kurt and Courtney...

ps, now C. Love kind of frightens me. Mainly because of her now striking resemblance in looks and attitude (I followed her on twitter a while back and it was too strange.) to my own mom.
anyways... the sun is trying to shine and it's cold but not raining here so maybe I'll get some work done. green tea here I come... xo
here's one more for the road...
